초록

본고에서 가락국의 건국신화를 역사의 관점에서 다루고자 하였다. 가락국에 관한 문헌 자료는 주로 『삼국유사』권2에 실려 있는 「가락국기」와 권3에 실려 있는 「금관성 파사석탑」에서 찾아 볼 수 있는데 일반적으로 그저 건국신화로 여길 뿐 역사로 보지 않는 경향이 있다. 그 이유는 『삼국유사』는 고려 때 승려였던 일연이 편찬하였다 하여 역사서로서 인정받지 못하고 있기 때문이며 역사서로서 인정받고 있는 『삼국사기』에는 가락국에 관한 본기는 아예 없고 「신라본기」와 「열전」 그리고 「잡지」편에 단편적으로 있어 그 전모를 알 수 없기 때문이다. 이에 본 연구는 『삼국유사』와 『삼국사기』에 실려 있는 내용을 바탕으로 가락국 건국신화를 역사적인 관점에서 되짚어 보기로 하였다. 가락국의 건국신화는 천손강림사상과 난생사상이 근간을 이루고 가락국 멸망에 이르기까지 탄탄한 구성이다. 하지만 하나의 신화로만 치부하여 윤색되었다거나 각색되었다고 평가절하 하는 경우가 거의 대부분이다. 그러나 가락국은 상대적으로 제대로 알려져 있지 않고 제대로 연구되지 않았을 뿐이지 엄연한 역사를 향유하고 있던 고대국가였다. 이에 본 연구자는 「가락국기」에서 가락국 건국에 관한 기사를 살펴보고 기존의 해석과 다른 관점에서 해석 하고자 한국 고대 건국신화를 역대 문헌에서 가급적 전문(全文)을 채록하여 각국의 신화의 특징을 비교하였다. 그리고 각종 문헌 및 고고학적 유물과 「가락국기」의 내용을 철학적인 관점에서 살펴본 결과 가락국의 정신문화는 오늘날 한국인의 전통정신문화를 이룩하는데 크게 작용하였음을 확인하였고 가락국의 건국신화는 허구적인 신화가 아닌 건국기사임을 철학적인 해석을 통하여 확인하였다.

In this article I tried to deal with the founding myth of Garakguk in terms of history. Literature data on Garaguk can mainly be seen in ‘Garakgukgi’ carried in ‘Samguk Yusa’ second book and ‘Gumkwon catle Pasa stone pagoda’ carried ‘Samguk Yusa’ third book which is inclined to be regarded as ‘Founding Myth’ not history. The reason for this is that “Samguk Yusa” is not recognized as a history book because it was compiled by a monk who was a monk in Goryeo and it also is because there is not this main part about ‘Garakguk’ in the “Samguksagi” which is recognized as a history book which exists partly in the piece of “Silla main dish” “the thermoelectric” and “magazine” and it is impossible to see or know the whole shape. In this study I decided to look back on myths from the historical point of view based on the contents of “Samguk Yusa” and “Samguksagi”. From ‘the Cheunsoun Kangrim thoughts’ to the destruction of the kingdom by the foundation of ‘the oviparity thoughts’ ‘The founding myth of Garakguk’ has almost perfact composition. However most of them are devalued by the fact that they are only edited with a myth. However it was an ancient country that was relatively unknown and not well studied but had a very strict history. Therefore to examine the articles on the founding of the Garakguk in the "Garakgukgi" and to interpret ‘the myths of ancient founding’ different from that of the past I extracted ‘the myths of ancient founding’ from the Korea history books from the past to the present and compared them as other countries’ myths. The result of having examined the contents of various documents archaeological relics and the “Garakgukgi” from philosophical point of view is that the spiritual culture of Garakguk has played a significant role in achieving the traditional spiritual culture of today Koreans and it also was confirmed that the founding myth of Garakguk was not a fictional myth but a constitutional article through philosophical interpretation.
