Whlie much previous horse trappings study has focused on bits and stirrups very little is known about decorative metal fitting used at the joint of crupper that even has never been examined chronological sequence. The ornaments of horse trappings strap includes decorative metal fitting used at the joint of crupper and metal fittings at a strap joint. It shows user status and abundant number but has never been examined each attribute examination or chronological sequence distribution. Also it is necessary to approach by side formative restoration of horse trappings by reason of base materials of study on formative restoration of horse trappings. Based on the records of 『三國史記』車騎條 impose legal controls on color and quality of horse trappings. As seen in the records it would have restricted user status that can own horse trappings in Three-kingdom age. Moreover there's a strong possibility that possession of the horse trappings for decoration could have imposed legal controls properly. The ornaments of horse trappings strap one being a representative the horse trappings for decoration thoughts to provide critical evidence to explain legal controls in form and assemblage pattern of quantity. Accordingly this study is intended to contribute to comprehensive horse trappings study through a study on the ornaments of horse trappings strap. The aim of this study is twofold. First to examine regional characteristics workshop interaction between countries through spatiotemporal change of the ornaments of horse trappings strap. Second to consider meaning and background about a point of sameness or difference between regions through assemblage pattern of the ornaments of horse trappings strap. The assemblage spread out east-side of Nak-dong river rapidly. Also it has expanded to distribution more and more is concluded the strong mounded tomb cluster(Go-ryoung Hap-cheon Ham-an) of west-side of Nak-dong river too. By phase ⅡB appear the assemblage that consisted dome Ⅰ type with Gyoung-ju as the center. But it isn't concluded assemblage pattern. PhaseⅢ(in the latter half of the 5th century~time after which in the middle of the 6th century) the development of the ornaments of horse trappings strap go on decorative characteristics and size larger. Also establish each polity´s subjecthood : is concluded 'horse trappings of Dae-gaya' at the same time import the ornaments of horse trappings strap of east-side of Nak-dong river to west-side of Nak-dong river owing to exchage between polities. Dome Ⅰtype's assemblage establish pattern of the quantity. This pattern spread out east-side of Nak-dong river at once type can be different maintain pattern of the quantity or same assemblage as Gyoung-ju. It show high the degree of combination between east-side of Nak-dong river and a tacit restriction of horse trappings for decoration at that time. PhaseⅣ(time after which in the middle of the 6th century) the decline of the ornaments of horse trappings strap not appear the ornaments of horse trappings strap mostly but also isn't buried the other horse trappings. The result of second purpose assemblage pattern between east-side of Nak-dong river(Gyoung-ju Gyoung-sanㆍDae-gu Chang-nyeong The north part of Gyoung-pook) have a lot in common; that things simply decorate only strap+oval-fishtale harness pendant and dome type. Assemblage of west-side of Nak-dong river(Gim-haeㆍBu-san Go-ryoungㆍHap-cheon Ham-an) confirms distribution pattern round type and combination board type but there's vary in different regions. It is a logical conclusion that confirms a similar assemblage between close geographical regions. But if confirms a similar assemblage in far away region for example 'A' group and 'B' group it shows high the degree of combination between 'A' group and 'B' group. In other words relationship between rigions of east-side of Nak-dong river shows high the degree of combination to operated social element with geographical element. Such the degree of combination begins from assemblage of things simply decorate only strap in 5th century and replaces assemblage of dome type. Assemblage of dome type shows pattern not only form but also quantity expect prevalent formation horse trappings system as common in east-side of Nak-dong river at that time. These facts expect a tacit restriction on ownership of the horse trappings for decoration with redouble the degree of combination between east-side of Nak-dong river. The other side west-side of Nak-dong river uses round type and combination board type mainly but there are diffrences in everywhere and can not find a center region of assemblage as Gyoung-ju of east-side of Nak-dong river. Namely it shows difference of the degree of combination between east-side of Nak-dong river and west-side of Nak-dong river. This appearance is a logical result because Ga-ya consists of various polities. Finally it is inconvenient that have not examination about accompanied horse trappings. Based on this study have to examine assemblage of a whole of horse trappings in future.
